About FormFit

FormFit is a free tool that compresses photos and signatures to the exact file size and dimensions that online application forms demand — exam portals, job applications, passport and visa forms, and similar systems.

Why it exists

Application portals commonly reject uploads that exceed strict limits such as 20–50 KB, or that don't match required pixel dimensions like 200×230. Meanwhile, a photo from a modern phone camera is several megabytes. Wrong photo size is one of the most common reasons online applications fail on the first attempt.

Plenty of websites offer to fix this — but nearly all of them work by uploading your image to their servers. People routinely send their ID photos and handwritten signatures to unknown third parties just to make a file smaller. That felt wrong to us, so we built the alternative.

How it works

FormFit does everything inside your own browser using standard web technology (the HTML5 canvas). When you pick a target, it resizes and crops the image if needed, then automatically searches for the highest JPEG quality that still fits under your size limit — so the result looks as good as the limit allows. Your image is never transmitted anywhere; the tool even works with your internet connection turned off.

What it costs

Nothing. FormFit is free to use, with no account, no watermarks, and no limits on how many images you process.
